Notre Dame Academy

Building Renovation

About Project

Conversion of 100 year old four story girl’s boarding school into a residential facility for the Sisters of Notre Dame. Work included remodeling of existing classrooms into three floors of living quarters and one floor consisting of a dining hall, kitchen, auditorium and chapel. Special features of this work included the requirement to maintain and protect the historical features of the building. An existing adjoining facility was partially occupied during construction and had to remain in service with access only at scheduled times to do work required within. The Sisters now enjoy an historic facility with modern conveniences.
